1. Overview

At Next Drive LLC, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction with our automotive parts distribution services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, exchanges, and refunds. Due to the specialized nature of automotive parts, returns are subject to strict conditions. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

Critical Notice for Auto Parts: Automotive parts are highly specialized components. Once installed, connected, or used, parts cannot be returned. Electrical components cannot be returned once packaging is opened or parts are tested. Please verify part compatibility before ordering.

2. Important Notice

As an authorized automotive parts distributor, Next Drive LLC provides auto parts from verified manufacturers. Return and refund eligibility follows our standard distributor policies, which align with manufacturer guidelines. Auto parts returns are restricted to protect product integrity and safety. We will work diligently to assist you with any return or refund requests that meet our eligibility criteria.

3. Return Eligibility

3.1 Strict Return Timeframe

Returns must be initiated within 14 days of the delivery date for automotive parts. Requests made after this period will not be accepted.

  • Defective Parts: Report within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence
  • Wrong Part Shipped: Report within 7 days of delivery
  • Unused Returns: Must be initiated within 14 days and approved by our team

Requests submitted outside the stated return timeframes cannot be accepted.

3.2 Eligible Returns (Limited Conditions)

Parts may ONLY be returned if ALL of the following conditions are met:

  • The part received is defective or damaged upon arrival (with photo evidence)
  • The wrong part was shipped due to an error on our part (verified by order documentation)
  • The part does not match the specifications we provided in writing
  • The part is completely unused, in original unopened packaging, and in perfect resalable condition
  • All original accessories, manuals, and documentation are included
  • Part has no signs of installation attempts, testing, or handling beyond inspection

3.3 Non-Returnable Items (Strictly Enforced)

The following items are not eligible for return under any circumstances:

  • Installed Parts: Any part that has been installed, mounted, or connected to a vehicle
  • Electrical Components: Alternators, starters, ECUs, sensors, wiring harnesses once packaging is opened
  • Engine Components: Pistons, crankshafts, camshafts once installed or test-fitted
  • Transmission Parts: Internal transmission components once packaging is opened
  • Tested Parts: Any electrical component that has been connected or tested (even if not installed)
  • Opened Packaging: Parts with broken seals, opened boxes, or removed protective coverings
  • Custom/Special Orders: Parts ordered specifically for your vehicle (non-stock items)
  • Fluids & Consumables: Engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, filters, gaskets, seals
  • Clearance Items: All clearance, sale, or final sale items (unless DOA defective)
  • Used/Handled Parts: Parts showing any signs of wear, fingerprints on sensitive components, or installation attempts
  • Incomplete Returns: Parts missing packaging, accessories, bolts, clips, or documentation
  • Parts Ordered Incorrectly: If you ordered the wrong part for your vehicle (customer error)

Installation = No Return. Opening Electrical Parts = No Return. This policy is enforced for safety, quality control, and warranty compliance reasons.

4. Return Process

4.1 Initiating a Return

To initiate a return:

  2. Provide your order number and reason for return
  3. Include photos of the part and packaging (if claiming damage or defect)
  4. Wait for Return Authorization (RA) number before shipping

4.2 Return Shipping

Important: Do not ship parts back without obtaining a Return Authorization (RA) number. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

  • Defective or Wrong Parts: We will provide a prepaid return shipping label
  • Buyer's Remorse: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Parts must be securely packaged to prevent damage during return shipping
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method with insurance

5. Refund Options

Next Drive LLC is not responsible for labor costs, installation fees, diagnostic charges, or any other related expenses associated with the installation or removal of parts.

5.1 Full Refund

You may be eligible for a full refund if:

  • The part is defective or damaged upon arrival
  • We shipped the wrong part
  • The part does not match the provided specifications

5.2 Partial Refund

A partial refund may be issued if:

  • The part is returned but packaging is damaged
  • The part shows minor signs of handling
  • Accessories or documentation are missing

5.3 Store Credit

In some cases, we may offer store credit as an alternative to a refund, which can be used for future purchases.

6. Refund Processing

6.1 Inspection Period

Once we receive your return, we will inspect the part within 5-7 business days. You will be notified via email about the approval or rejection of your refund.

6.2 Refund Timeline

Refunds cannot be processed until returned items are received, inspected, and approved.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method only and are processed through our third-party payment processors (such as Stripe or Square). Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

If approved, refunds will be processed according to the following timeline:

  • Refund initiated within 3-5 business days of approval
  • Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days
  • Original payment method will be used for refund
  • You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed

6.3 Restocking Fee

Where applicable, the following restocking fees may apply:

  • 25% Restocking Fee: Standard returns due to buyer's remorse or customer ordering error
  • 35% Restocking Fee: Returns with opened (but unused) packaging or damaged box
  • 50% Restocking Fee: Special order items, if returnable (requires approval)
  • No Refund: Installed, tested, or used parts (non-returnable)

Note: No restocking fee applies to defective parts (DOA - Dead on Arrival) or our shipping errors (verified by documentation).

Verification of correct part compatibility is the customer's responsibility before ordering.

7. Exchanges

If you need to exchange a part for a different specification:

  • Contact us to discuss exchange options
  • Exchange requests are subject to part availability
  • You may be responsible for the price difference and shipping costs
  • The same return eligibility criteria apply to exchanges

8. Damaged or Defective Parts

8.1 Upon Delivery

If you receive a damaged or defective part:

  • Document the damage with photos immediately
  • Do not install or attempt to use the part
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Keep all packaging materials

8.2 Warranty Claims

For parts that fail after installation, warranty claims are handled by the manufacturer or supplier. We will:

  • Provide warranty documentation
  • Assist in filing warranty claims
  • Coordinate with suppliers on your behalf
  • Help facilitate replacement or repair under warranty terms

9. Cancellations

9.1 Before Shipment

Orders may be cancelled without penalty if:

  • The order has not been processed by our supplier
  • Parts have not been shipped
  • Cancellation request is made within 24 hours of order placement

9.2 After Shipment

Once parts have shipped, cancellation is not possible. Standard return procedures will apply upon delivery.

10. Customer Responsibility & Incorrect Parts Ordered

10.1 Part Verification is Your Responsibility

Important: It is the customer's responsibility to verify part compatibility with your vehicle BEFORE ordering. We provide part specifications, but YOU must confirm fitment for your specific make, model, year, and engine type.

We strongly recommend:

  • Verifying VIN compatibility before ordering
  • Checking part numbers against your vehicle's specifications
  • Consulting with a professional mechanic if unsure
  • Contacting us for assistance BEFORE placing your order

10.2 Wrong Part Ordered by Customer

If you ordered the wrong part by mistake (customer error):

  • DO NOT open or install the part
  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • Return shipping costs are your responsibility
  • A 25-35% restocking fee will apply
  • Part must be in perfect, unopened condition
  • We can assist in identifying the correct part for your needs

Once a part is installed or opened, it cannot be returned due to ordering error.

11. Lost or Stolen Packages

If your package is marked as delivered but not received:

  • Check with neighbors and household members
  • Contact the shipping carrier directly
  • We will assist in filing a claim with the carrier
  • Resolution depends on carrier investigation results

12. Special Circumstances

We understand that unique situations may arise. If you have special circumstances not covered by this policy, please contact us. We will review each case individually and work to find a fair resolution.
